The site is situated in Tajimi, Gifu Prefecture, home to many of Japan's top tile makers. The clients, Tajimi tiles, plans to convert part of its warehouse into a gallery.

The company handles the “TAJIMI CUSTOM TILES (TCT)” series, which responds to a wide range of requests, from original designs to customization of ready-made products, complex shapes, and subtle color adjustments.

The concept of TCT is to “faithfully realize tiles that architects and interior designers seek through meticulous dialogue, similar to the ‘bespoke’ sense of making tailor-made clothes.

“Bespoke” means “to modify or make new items from an existing base in accordance with the buyer's order, taste, or purpose of use”. In that sense,  the change of the warehouse into a gallery can also be considered bespoke.

The gallery has to display different programs : a tile kiosk ( an actual web store);  a collaboration tiles corner (works by Ronan Bouroullec, Max Lamb and Kwangho Lee); Portfolio tiles (custom tiles that TCT has worked on so far); Semi-order tiles corner ( a selection of 39 different shapes, 3 different surfaces textures and 100 different colors); sample tiles corner (tiles that are always on stock).

In addition to this core program, the gallery houses a meeting room, a mini kitchen as well as a restroom.
